Every New Year's Eve we go through the same process of making New Year's resolutions. Always before I have made resolutions that were very hard to keep. Like "I will loose 50 lbs." or "I will break that one bad habit" and then you know what inevitably would happen, I would break the resolution.
This year, however, I have decided to make a resolution that I might actually have a chance of fulfilling for the whole year. I promised to encourage something that I am already addicted to and have no intention of ever giving up. I resolved to fallow my muse and make 2010 the year of creativity. I have rededicated myself to my art.
So far it has been like a feverish rush of enthusiasm for me. The more I do the more I want to do. I have so many ideas that even while I am in the midst of one project I can't wait to start the next project. I have this profound desire to become better and better at my art. I have never had a easier New Year's resolution.
So, my recommendation to everyone? Don't promise to quit something or do something that you really don't want to do. Instead promise to do something that you really like to do, it makes a remarkable difference!
