I am almost finished with my second paper mache sculpture. It is another dragon trophy head. The second time around I have made an number of improvements to the technique and invented a few refinements. This time for the teeth I used epoxy putty that seemed to bond very well to the paper. I have elected to use rubber balls for the eyes and then paint them with a clear acrylic coat. I had extra "soft sculpy" that stays flexible after you bake it and I used it for the tongue. I thought the spikes on his head gave him a definite dragony look.
This sculpture will be my featured piece at World Fantasy Convention at the end of the month. I need a name for this dragon and would appreciate suggestions. Just use the contact form to mail me your suggestions.
