Allegra Torres, aka The Chainmail Chick, loves cosplay and attending sci-fi and fantasy conventions. I met her at Gencon, I think. She was wearing a lovely costume created by Organic Armor. I approached her with the idea of creating a figurine of herself with that costume. Here is the preliminary results. Sculpted from Super Sculpey I present the Warrior Princess Allegra. She will have a spear weapon when completed. The next stage is to make a silicone mold and cast her in resin. She stands 16 inches tall.

Here is another piece for my portfolio of super heroes. I also had a special request for Green Lantern from a friend. So, here he is, enjoy!

I have always liked the Kzin warriors from Larry Niven's Universe. Here is my take on what they might look like. The sculpture was started at Capricon 31. He is almost ready to cast.

Larry Niven is one of my all time favorite writers. The Kzinti (singular Kzin) are a fictional, very warlike and bloodthirsty race of cat-like aliens in Larry Niven's Known Space series.

I am currently working on Wonder Woman. This is another piece for my portfolio. First I sculpt in polymer clay and get my basic shape. I sand the hardened polymer clay smooth then make a mold to cast in wax.

I have a new project, Captain America. 1/4th scale. This one is just for my portfolio. When I was kid I painted a life sized Captain America on my bedroom wall. My parents flipped when they saw what I had done.

Every New Year's Eve we go through the same process of making New Year's resolutions. Always before I have made resolutions that were very hard to keep. Like "I will loose 50 lbs." or "I will break that one bad habit" and then you know what inevitably would happen, I would break the resolution.

I will be attending this years Marcon, a Science Fiction Convention and Art Show held annually in Columbus, Ohio. The theme of the convention is "Necropolis, Year of Horror". I am planning several sculptures for this theme. The first is my wolfman. I will be casting this sculpture in a limited edition run of 200. I hoping to have it ready for the convention in May. My Daughter wanted a sabertooth tiger skull so I sculpted one for her Christmas Gift this year. Now how many fathers out there has a daughter that likes to decorate her house with sabertooth tiger skulls? (click on the images below to view a larger image)
